Margaret Cook
EVP, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer
Margaret Cook is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of Alliant National. She is responsible for contributing to the strategic growth of the company and all legal aspects of the organization - overseeing underwriting, claims, compliance, regulatory and corporate matters, as well as developing Alliant National’s legal team.
Margaret has spent nearly 30 years practicing law, with 25 of those years in the title insurance industry. Her past experience has well-prepared her to work closely with Alliant National’s executive team to manage key legal issues and build positive relationships integral to the organization’s continued growth and success.
Margaret earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi, as well as her Juris Doctorate from the same institution. She has held leadership roles at the Land Title Association of Colorado and the Colorado Title Advisory Council. She currently serves on the Title Standards Committee for the Colorado Bar Association and several American Land Title Association and Colorado Land Title Association committees.
Margaret lives in Colorado with her family.
