Berner brings more than 30 years of title insurance knowledge and leadership experience to Alliant National. Alliant National measures its success through the empowerment of people and protecting property owners with the finest title insurance, while helping independent title agents flourish and expand their competitive positions in the marketplace.
Berner’s duties include developing relationships with agents and helping to increase Alliant National’s footprint in the Florida market.

ISO 27001:2013 is an information security standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards, and the International Electrotechnical Commission. Alliant National’s initial certification was issued in May 2015, and renewed in May 2018 by A-lign, an independent and accredited certification body based in the United States.
To maintain the current certification, which is valid until 2021, Alliant National had to successfully complete a formal, independent annual surveillance audit. Successfully completing this audit is evidence that Alliant National continues to meet rigorous international standards in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability and protection of non-public information.

(April 9, 2020) – Alliant National Title Insurance Company, a unique title insurance underwriter that partners with independent agents to improve their competitive position in the marketplace, announces the successful completion of the Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 SSAE 18 Type II examination for the sixth consecutive year.
The
examination results in an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
endorsed report stating that Alliant National Title Insurance Company has
maintained effective controls over its Agent Quality Management System. A-Lign
Certified Public Accountants of Tampa, Fla., performed the engagement. The
unqualified satisfactory report, with no exceptions, was issued January 6, 2020
and covered the full year 2019.
The successful SSAE 18 Type II
examination verifies Alliant National’s processes for approving, monitoring,
and reviewing its agents, which results in its agents being designated as
Authorized Service Providers of Alliant National. Under this framework, Alliant
National’s independent agents are reviewed annually against rigorous quality
standards. Moreover, the SSAE 18 Type II exam validates the systems in place to
minimize risk of financial loss to customers in connection with real estate
closings. Lenders relying upon Alliant National’s oversight of its agents and
Authorized Service Provider program receive additional assurance that processes
are complete and function properly in accurately reviewing or certifying its
agents.

National was the first title insurance underwriter in the nation to obtain an
SSAE16 (now SSAE 18) Type II compliant status,” says Alliant National’s
