Alliant National Title Insurance Co. recalibrates regional operations in Midwest and West Regions, expands into five new states

The company’s West Region will become the Central West Region, while the Midwest Region will become the Great Lakes Region and include five expansion states

LONGMONT, Colo. (Oct. 28, 2019) – Alliant National Title Insurance Co. announced today that it is expanding into five states and will recalibrate its West and Midwest regions to better serve agents.

The shift comes as veteran title professional Jim Hensley, who has achieved legendary status in the Midwest over his more than 40 years in the industry, steps back into a part-time role with Alliant National. His protégés will head up the two new regions.

“We are grateful to Jim for his hard work and his investment in the future of our company,” said President and CEO David Sinclair. “Not only has he shown up each day in service to our agents, he has also served as a mentor to the next generation of title professionals at Alliant National. As Jim finishes his leg of the race, I have the utmost confidence his successors will pick up the baton and continue to move us forward.”

The West Region will become the Central West Region. Grant Zehner, Alliant National’s current Western Region Agency Representative, has been named the Regional Agency Manager. His team will serve agents in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri.

Grant was chosen as a 2016 Young Title Person of the Year by the Missouri Land Title Association and joined Alliant National in the same year. Previously he ran TruHome Title Solutions, a multi-state title company based in Kansas City, and was an agent of Alliant National.

“This is an exciting time for our company, and I’m excited to take on this new challenge,” Zehner said. “I feel like I have some big shoes to fill, and I intend to deliver the same personalized service to our agents that has helped us grow so successfully under Jim’s leadership.”

The Midwest Region will become the Great Lakes Region. The region includes Minnesota and Wisconsin as well as expansion states Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennslyvania and New Jersey.  Manoj Purohit, Vice President and Alliant National’s current Great Lakes Agency Manager, has been named Senior Vice President and Great Lakes Regional Manager.

Manoj came to Alliant National in 2018 and has been associated with the mortgage, title and title technology industries for over 30 years. His previous tenure includes working for two of the four major underwriters as well as a regional underwriter.  He also served as president and chief executive officer of a settlement services company in New Jersey.  Manoj is also a veteran of the armed forces having served in the New Jersey Army National Guard for 9 years as a reconnaisance scout.

“With Jim’s previous hard work and leadership, these new regions are both poised for much success,” Purohit said. “I look forward to carrying his legacy forward of serving our agents and welcome the opportunity to expand Alliant’s footprint to the additonal states with our ‘Agents First’ philosophy.”

“Over the past several years it has been my pleasure to serve the independent agents in the Midwest with care and dedication to the entire ‘Agents First’ philosophy,” Hensley said. “I feel very confident that the agents currently with Alliant National Title as well as all of those who will desire to become a part of this unique organization are in very capable hands.”

Alliant National Announces the Appointments and Promotions of Three Highly Experienced Employees

Congratulations to Tim Tillman, Kim Bergner and Heather Huff on their new positions.

LONGMONT, CO. – Alliant National Title Insurance Company (Alliant National) recently announced the appointments of three employees.

Tim Tillman

Tim Tillman, Alliant National’s new Florida Production Manager

Six years ago this month, Tim Tillman joined Alliant National as vice president, Tallahassee and Northwest Florida agency manager, where he was responsible for building Alliant National’s footprint in Northwest Florida and the Tallahassee area. Tillman has since been promoted to Florida Production Manager.

Tillman began his career as a courier and moved up the ladder to perform search, exam and mapping with an independent agent in South Florida. Subsequently, he worked as senior examiner and assistant manager for American Pioneer; he was also a senior examiner for Attorneys Title Fund. Just prior to joining Alliant National, Tillman was the operations manager and business center manager of Fidelity National Title Group’ Tallahassee operation, where he managed the production and trained and managed other personnel.

Tillman has done an excellent job of growing Alliant National’s footprint in his area, including managing examiners and our production system. He will continue to reside in the Panhandle area while managing all of the company’s title production staff and processes. “Joining the Alliant National Team presents me with some new challenges and opportunities, and I’m really looking forward to helping Alliant National’s independent agents serve their customers more fully and stand out from the competition,” said Tillman, adding that throughout his career, he’s “grateful to have had the opportunity to foster excellent business relationships along some of the best beaches in the world and around the state capital.”

Kim Bergner

Kim Bergner, promoted to Quality Assurance Auditor of Alliant National

Alliant National Title Insurance is thrilled to announce the promotion of Kim Bergner to quality assurance auditor.

Bergner, a Minnesota native with more than three decades of experience in the title insurance industry, was promoted earlier this year after eight years as agency coordinator of the company. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Bergner holds a B.A. in psychology and a minor in social psychology. It was her father, however, who cemented her career path. “My dad became a realtor later in his life, and he was instrumental in introducing me to the title insurance industry,” said Bergner, who lived all over the Midwest before settling down in Longmont with her husband Bruce, a professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

“In my new job, I reconcile accounts monthly for our Florida agents, and I expect to eventually complete full agency reviews as I continue to gain more experience,” said Bergner, adding that what excites her most about her new position is the “opportunity to do something new and learn from highly experienced auditors.”

In her downtime, Bergner dabbles in fabric arts and needlework, spends time with her children and partakes in thoughtful discussions during her book club powwows. “I like to sing, too, and while I haven’t pursued that passion for years, I do have an extensive collection of music in my car that I’ll sing along to, sometimes with the volume way up.”

Heather Huff

Heather Huff, new Agency Support Manager of Alliant National

In order to keep up with company growth and better serve our independent agents, Alliant National recently hired Heather Huff to fill the newly created position of agency support manager.

Huff, who grew up on a small family farm in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, earned a B.A. from and an MBA from King University. In 2012, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she landed her first job in the title insurance industry as a title abstractor for a national company headquartered in Charlotte. Soon thereafter, she began working for a national underwriter, originally doing sales support and operations before working directly with agents in the field as an agency representative for three years.

“I’m excited about this new role at Alliant National Title because I’ll l be able to blend all of my past experiences as we continue to mold this new position within the company,” said Huff, who’s responsible for managing the new agent application and on-boarding processes, reporting agency productivity numbers and managing the national operations center. “My goal is to assist in implementing efficient and streamlined processes while providing excellent service to our field staff and our independent agent partners,” she added. Outside of work, Huff enjoys traveling domestically and abroad, music, volleyball, yoga, hiking and hanging out with her dog Teddy.

Tubbs has resided in Boulder, Colo. since 2004 and is originally from Moscow, Russia. She holds three degrees: an M.S. in chemical engineering and an M.A. in accounting, both of which she received in Russia, along with a second M.A. in accounting that she earned from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Additionally, Tubbs has a CPA license.

“We are grateful to have Vesa join our team. She brings a strong financial background to assist in our growth,” said Scott Hendrickson, CFO, treasurer and co-founder of Alliant National.

For me, being in the thick of nature is the best stress release I know.”

Tubbs’s positive work philosophy makes her a great fit for Alliant National’s ever-evolving culture. “I don’t believe a situation can’t be changed and improved,” noted Vesa. “Everything can and will change so we need to constantly listen, learn and think.
